Good Agricultural Practices
Good Agricultural Practices are used to reduce risk on farms. Microbial contamination can happen anywhere from farm to fork. On the farm, contamination sources vary from animals, water, soil, and above all humans.
For a full course on GAPs education, attend one of the OSU Fruit and Vegetable Safety Team 3-hour educational programs. In the meantime, this site offers helpful tips, templates, and advice on good agricultural practices related to water, soil, handing practices, and traceability, but is not to be considered a full overview of all GAPs are and can offer.
