The Ohio State University and The Ohio Department of Agriculture are hosting the Food and Drug Administration for a LISTENING session on April 30, 2013.
Officials from the FDA will be in attendance at Shisler Conference Center at the OARDC campus in Wooster Ohio to hear questions, comments, concerns, and complaints from the produce industry in regards to the FOOD SAFETY MODERNIZATION ACT's PROPOSED PRODUCE RULE.

1:00-1:15: Opening statements, ODA
1:15-1:30: Introduction, OSU
1:30-1:45: Mike Taylor, FDA speaking about FSMA
1:45-2:00: Jim Gorny, FDA will present brief overview of the Produce Rule
2:00-4:00: Q & A session from the public. The FDA will answer questions, interpret scenarios for farmers, explain how exemptions will affect them, the final rule, and the implementation periods. Open to all the public. FDA really wants to hear from us!
