Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Class Monroe and Belmont Counties

The Ohio State University Fruit and Vegetable Safety Team will be hosting a good agricultural practices (GAPs) class in Barnesville, Ohio. Common routes of microbial contamination on the produce farm are discussed. Please download and complete registration form, located under Attachments - registration accepted at the door.

While attendees receieve a certificate of participation upon GAPs class completion, attending an Ohio State GAPs class does not mean attendees are 'GAPs Certified'.  A third party audit must be performed on the farm in order to receive GAPs certification. For more information about the OSU GAPs class, third party audits, or proposed produce safety regulations, call Lindsey Hoover at 330-202-3555 ext 2918 or hoover.482@osu.edu.
